What’s the big deal with Brew Bags?

High Side Coffee Brew Bags are single-serving specialty coffee bags, made easier (and better for the environment). Each individual serving has the perfect amount of freshly ground and sealed coffee for an 8oz cup, making your morning and afternoon cup of coffee significantly faster. Our Brew Bags are made from compostable corn-fiber, and we like to throw the whole Brew Bag into our compost bin when we’re done with it. Instead of using wasteful plastic, or dealing with the mess of refilling reusable single serving pods, High Side Coffee Brew Bags take the time, and guesswork out of single-serving coffee.

How do I use Brew Bags?

Heat up some water to just about boiling (we set our temperature to around 205ºF) and toss a Brew Bag into a mug. Slowly pour 8oz of hot water over the Brew Bag and let it rest. We recommend letting your Brew Bag soak in hot water for around 5-7 minutes, and we leave the bag in for maximum taste. Not sure how much water you need to pour into your mug? Our Enamel Camp Mugs hold the perfect amount of water for a perfect cup each time.

Are Brew Bags as good as a normal cup of coffee?

Hell yeah they are! We love our Brew Bags because of how similar they are to a home-brewed cup of coffee. Each Brew Bag is made from freshly ground coffee grounds, and sealed immediately to preserve ultimate freshness, and taste. We live by the motto: “longer equals stronger,” so you’re good to leave the Brew Bag in your cup as you enjoy. Dunk your bag in 8oz of hot water for 5-7 minutes, chug, then immediately throw away all of your Instant Coffee, we’re sticking around.

Weather + COVID-19 Shipping Information

Currently, the USPS is experiencing delays with shipments across the country. We’re still shipping as normal (check out our shipping and processing information below!) - but your delicious coffee may take a few extra days to get to you. It’s worth the wait, we promise. Due to the holiday season, social distancing measures, and upcoming snowy weather in the Midwest and East Coast, your package might experience a 1-4 business day delay. We’re noticing that some packages are taking up to 48 hours to be shown as accepted into the USPS network, and its journey through the US might be a little bit slower. Don’t worry, your coffee is on the way! If your package is lost in transit, please shoot us a message at Some packages are marked as Delivered up to one day before it is actually delivered. If it is marked as Delivered and it doesn’t turn up after a couple of days (and isn’t at your neighbors), please contact your local USPS office to file a Missing Mail claim, and then contact us with their response. We’re happy to assist whenever and however we can!

Shipping & Processing Timelines

Our processing timeline is based on peak freshness of our coffee. We roast our Whole Bean every Monday, and won’t ever ship you a stale bag, that’s our promise to you. We ship out of San Diego, CA within 2-4 business days (usually sooner) either via USPS First Class / Priority Mail, or UPS Standard Ground. Please note that selecting a faster shipping service at checkout does not expedite our standard processing time - we’re a super small team busting our asses to get delicious coffee to the masses!

Cancellations & Modifications

Since we often ship immediately, we will only accept order cancellations and/or modifications for 1 hour after the order is placed. Email with your name and Order Number and we’ll be in touch.
